Neale-Wade Academy has celebrated the legacy of former teacher George Lockwood in a ceremony to unveil the sports field dug outs purchased with the money he generously donated to the school in his will.

Mr Lockwood's donation was left to the Sports Centre and PE department, with the wish that it be used to commemorate his career and lifelong passion for sport.

At the ceremony we were delighted to celebrate Mr Lockwood's legacy with members of his family and see the new dugouts in use for the first time. This is an ideal addition to the growing football provisions at Neale-Wade Academy and the dugouts will support a wide range of activity, including regular use by the school's sports teams.

Thank you to March Soccer School Academy for the U13's and U14's game which took place after the ceremony.
